#8 My adventure in Pokémon

I have started playing Pokemon Crystal on my phone through some completely legal means. *wink wink*
I had only played the gold version before but hadn't completed it so I thought I'd pick up crystal version because I like the 2nd generation of Pokemon and didn't wanna replay gold.
My cousin sister's over at my place and she was annoying me to let her game on my phone. I don't like a lot of modern games *cough*candycrush*cough* and my phone's too crappy to play good ones, but I did have SNES and Gameboy emulators (obtained through totally leagal sources of course) . And I thought what better than 90s games for a kid to play.
In my opinion the old Nintendo games are far superior than a lot of modern mobile *cough*candycrush*cough* games. I may sound like a cranky old man, but it just seems a lot of mobile games are just making kids dumber.
So anyways, she wanted to play so I booted up the good old Legend of Zelda: The Link to the Past. After thoroughly enjoying it for a good part of three hours, I suggested her we play Pokemon. Having watched the anime before, she was quite excited to play it. She played that for 2 more hours and I decided to put in on her mom's phone so that she can continue her adventure even after going back home. And also because after watching her play even I wanted to play.

And thus MY adventure started.

I booted it up and immediately went into the settings of the emulator to turn on the fast forward mode and map the Turbo A button to my volume up button. What the fast forward mode does is in the name itself. It makes the game faster thus not making me want to punch my phone when the character walks like he's 80. And what the Turbo A button does is that its basically like mashing the A button. With these two tricks now I can speed through all the conversations with the NPCs in seconds.

And thus my adventure started.
Again.

It first asks me my gender. Great. The game's sexist already. I LOVE it!
First thing you get when you start a Pokemon game is Prof. Oak telling something about Pokemon. I skipped through all of these as I had read them a million times already. It asks me my name and i of course wrote 'NITROS', yes all in caps cz the game knows im awesome. Then through some cheeky dialogues it makes you set the time. I set it to 8 PM.
Then the game starts.
Oh yeah.

I start in my bedroom and immediately begin looking for porn. Sad to say I didn't find any. You win this time Nintendo. Then I head downstairs and my mom intercepts me to give me my Pokegear. Then she proceeds to tell me about it but I just fast forward + Turbo (FF+T) over it. She asks me to set the day of the week an blah blah blah. Even in games moms are annoying.
After I leave the house I head straight to Prof. Elm (yes all the professors in the game are named after trees cz Nintendon't give a fuck) who apparently has been looking for me all day. I FF+T over his shit and he then he offers me one of the three rare Pokemon.
I go straight for Totodile cz water type, fuck yeah. I am given an option to give a nickname for it. Oh yeah. I immediately name him Gavin cz fuckin ACHIEVEMENT HUNTER!
The professor then tells me to go meet Mr. Pokemon (yes thats his name) as he is too busy with whatever the fuck he does. He gives the address and I head out. I'm intercepted by his lovely assistant who gives me a potion. Thanks bruh.

And then I head out.
On my way to Cherrygrove city where Mr. Pokemon lives, I encounter fierce wild Pokemon in the treacherous' grass. But with I help of Gavin I battle through (FF+T FTW!) them with ease.

I finally reach Cherrygrove city, bruised and battered. I talk (FF+T) to a nice old man who gives me a tour of the small city and in the end give me a map before heading back to his home.
Sweet.

I go to the Pokemon centre to heal Gavin then I'm off to find Mr. Pokemon's house. Traveling through all those grass, by the time I reach his house Gavin's already level 10.
Woohoo.

I talk (FF+T) to the guy and he gives me a mysterious egg which was apparently given to him by a Guy at the day care center. As I talk to him Prof. Oak comes and talks to me. I FF+T him and he gives me the Pokedex. Then he's off for his radio show cz he's famous as fuck.
Then Mr. Pokemon tells me to go back to New Bark City and show the egg to Prof. Elm.
I'm slightly annoyed by having to go back, but I don't have a choice.
While leaving Cherrygrove city, I encounter an interesting individual.

Wait a minute.
I remember him.

He's the Guy who was peeking through the window of Prof. Elm's Lab. Hmm I wonder what he's doing here.
